Most of my time at Nexstar is dedicated to the creation of motion graphics. Often on a quick turn around as news doesn’t sleep. Here are some examples of my motion work.

I was tasked with the creation of a new look for the Tampa Hoy Online team. Using the logo and promos currently running for inspiration, I designed & animated all of the required elements for the digital show.

Heart Walk

I was tasked with the creation of a new look for our Heart Walk promotions. I worked with video from prior promotions to create a new product, focusing on the abstraction of veins to represent heart disease.

Our Community

I conceptualized this promotion series partnering with local small businesses in our viewing area. Promoting not only our on your side brand promise, but also allowing our viewers to see why their favorite local gems choose News Channel 8.

Hales

Commercial client Hales was looking for something clean and fun. I studied their style guidelines & website to create the required elements for our commercial production team whom implemented them into the final commercial.

Lifeguard Imaging

Also Bloom’s title sponsor, I spend a lot of time working with Lifeguard. I animated required elements for our commercial production team and presented them to my manager like this.

Marina Point

Spanning all aspects of our operations - Broadcast, Programing, Digital, and more. Marina point is without a doubt our largest client. I have attended events as a photographer. I have created graphics for & color corrected their promotions. Designed web advertisements, social media graphics, and more. I have met with our sales team to address client needs along with Nexstar Digital. Overall, this client has been a huge opportunity for me to grow as a well rounded designer and improved my ability to manage valuable initiatives as I have taken a lead with their graphical requirements.

Bay Paws

Bay Paws is a fun and exciting place for dogs to stay, however, showing that in commercial was easier said then done when the rooms, while lovely, seem unwelcoming on film. I was challenged with creating graphics that would steal the show and make the rooms look more inviting and friendly. Illustrations from Stock sources.

Remarkable Women

Remarkable woman is a Nexstar Initiative. Due to this, the style was set into place by our corporate design center. However, as one of Nexstar’s flagship stations, we like to take it up a notch. Even so, this year I was tasked with taking the graphics a step further than the year before.

Blood Drive

Explained in more detail on my brand page, the blood drive is an event we run with Oneblood to collect lifesaving donations in time for the holidays. I created the look for this event and animated the promotion.

Founders Day

Founders day is my favorite time of the year so I was excited to work on this promotion. I animated pieces I felt fit the both our style and the style of our partner feeding Tampa Bay. I found textures on our stock sources I felt gave the promotion a more organic feel akin to Feeding Tampa bay’s style. Illustrations from Stock sources.
